January 6, 2025: Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641 Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting New London Tigers (New London, IA), 66-27 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mt. Pleasant advances its record to 1-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to Fairfield (Fairfield, IA) to face the Trojans in a Southeast match on Friday, January 10. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 2-6. Fairfield won 70-68 in their recent non-league match against Centerville (Centerville, IA)
The Tigers now own a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Danville for a SEI - South match on Tuesday, January 7. New London will face a Bears squad coming off a 72-44 non-league win over English Valleys (North English, IA). The Bears record now stands at 3-7.
