The Thornwood Thunderbirds basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Richards Bulldogs to 46 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Monday.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Kankakee for a Southland game on Tuesday, January 7. Thornwood will confront a Kays team coming off a 65-63 non-league loss to Curie (Chicago, IL). The Kays record now stands at 10-2.
