In Friday's league contest, the host Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves basketball team scored a big 64-40 triumph over the Richards Bulldogs.

The Red Wolves (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Forest Academy (Lake Forest, IL). The Caxys go into the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Lake Forest Academy smashed Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL), 75-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL) in a South Suburban contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Richards will attempt to better on its 3-12 season record. The Meteors go into the contest with a 8-6 record after their 41-38 non-league win over Dyett (Chicago, IL).
