Maine High School Basketball - Orono trounced by Dexter
January 6, 2025: Orono, ME 04473 The Orono Riots basketball squad (Orono, ME), was crushed 42-12 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Dexter Tigers (Dexter, ME)
With the victory, Dexter advances its record to 6-3 on the year. The Tigers host Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to meet the Golden Bucks in a C North battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Golden Bucks enter the battle with a record of 5-2. Bucksport won 62-53 in their recent league test against Sumner (East Sullivan, ME)
The Riots (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils come into the C North test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Central was routed by Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME), 72-34, in a league test.
