The Prairie View Academy Spartans basketball squad (Bastrop, LA), was outscored 52-37 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Franklin Academy Cougars (Winnsboro, LA)

With the victory, Franklin Academy advances its record to 3-3 on the year. The Cougars host River Oaks (Monroe, LA) to meet the Mustangs in a MAIS 3A District 4 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 5-5. River Oaks lost 59-24 in their recent non-league battle against Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA)
