In Monday's non-league contest, the host Squalicum Storm basketball team scored a close 34-29 triumph over the Ferndale Golden Eagles.

The Storm (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Baker (Deming, WA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Mt. Baker nipped Meridian (Bellingham, WA), 41-27, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles confront the Everett Seagulls (Everett, WA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Ferndale will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record.
