The Lapeer Lightning basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Mt. Pleasant Oilers to 56 in the Lightning league victory on Friday.

The Lightning now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grand Blanc for a Saginaw Valley contest on Friday, February 4.

The Oilers (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against Cadillac (Cadillac, MI). The Vikings go into the Big North bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Cadillac held off Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI), 45-32, in a league bout.
