Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Davison Cardinals (Davison, MI), 75-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Oilers travel to St. Johns (St. Johns, MI) to play the Redwings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Redwings come into the bout with a record of 2-9. St. Johns lost 57-45 in their recent league bout against Haslett (Haslett, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) in a Saginaw Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Davison will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 76-50 league win over Central (Bay City, MI).
