Texas High School Basketball - Petrolia topples Munday
January 7, 2022: Munday, TX 76371 In Friday's non-league outing, the Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX) basketball squad beat the host Munday Moguls (Munday, TX), by a margin of 63-50.
The Pirates (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Archer City (Archer City, TX). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region II District 9 outing with a 10-9 record. In their last outing, Archer City was topped by Vernon (Vernon, TX), 65-64, in a non-league outing.
The Moguls now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they travel to Crowell for a 1A Region II District 16 outing on Tuesday, January 11. Munday will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 57-29 league loss to Electra (Electra, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-4.
