Minnesota High School Basketball - St. James ripped by New Ulm
January 7, 2022: St. James, MN 56081 The New Ulm Eagles basketball team scored 79 points and held the host St. James Saints to 44 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hutchinson for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 11. New Ulm will battle a Tigers team coming off a 64-56 non-league loss to Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 7-4.
The Saints (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN). The Thunderbirds enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop triumphed over Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN), 65-59, in a league contest.
