The Wilkes Central Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host North Wilkes Vikings to 52 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Wilkes for a non-league contest on Friday, January 14. Wilkes Central will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 47-44 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-7.

The Vikings (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons come into the 2A Conference 37 contest with a 10-3 record.
