Leland Comets (Leland, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI), 50-10 in a league bout.

With the win, Leland upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Comets host Benzie Central (Benzonia, MI) to play the Huskies in a Northwest bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Bears play the Frankfort Panthers (Frankfort, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Buckley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 62-41 league loss to Glen Lake (Maple City, MI).
