The Hopkins Royals basketball team scored 87 points and held the visiting Edina Hornets to 29 in the Royals league triumph on Friday.

The Royals now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buffalo for a AAAA Section 8 contest on Tuesday, January 11.

The Hornets (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Minnetonka (Minnetonka, MN). The Skippers come into the AAAA Section 2 challenge with a 9-0 record.
