The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos to 29 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foster for a 5A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, January 11. Lamar Consolidated will battle a Falcons team coming off a 45-39 league loss to Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 13-8.

The Buffalos (2-22) will now prepare for their contest against Fulshear (Fulshear, TX). The Chargers enter the 5A Region III District 24 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Fulshear ran past Terry (Rosenberg, TX), 63-15, in a league contest.
