The Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS), 55-39 in Friday's league test.

The Gators (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Warriors go into the 4A Region 4 test with a 12-3 record.

The Trojans now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Kosciusko for a 4A Region 4 test on Tuesday, January 11. Northeast Lauderdale will encounter a Whippets squad coming off a 55-46 league loss to Louisville (Louisville, MS). The Whippets record now stands at 12-5.
