In Friday's league outing, the Weiss Wolves (Pflugerville, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX), by a margin of 62-17.

The Wolves (14-12) will now prepare for their outing against Elgin (Elgin, TX). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region III District 18 outing with a 14-11 record. In their last outing, Elgin was trounced by Manor (Manor, TX), 67-31, in a league outing.

The Cougars now own a 0-17 record. They play next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a 5A Region III District 18 outing on Saturday, January 8. Pflugerville Connally will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 53-33 league loss to Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-14.
