January 7, 2022: Vinton, LA 70668 In Friday's non-league outing, the Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Vinton Lions (Vinton, LA), by a count of 59-36.
The Greyhounds (5-12) will now prepare for their outing against Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Knights go into the 2A District 6 outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Lafayette Christian Academy was crushed by Walker (Walker, LA), 54-43, in a non-league outing.
The Lions now hold a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Pickering for a 2A District 5 outing on Tuesday, January 11. Vinton will clash with a Red Devils squad coming off a 39-26 non-league loss to Singer (Singer, LA). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-8.
