January 7, 2023: Magdalena, NM 87825 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) and the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM), saw Alamo Navajo's basketball squad overcome Mescalero Apache by a tally of 51-39.
With the victory, Alamo Navajo improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Quemado (Quemado, NM) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Quemado won 50-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Mountainair (Mountainair, NM)
Next up, the Chiefs play the Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Mescalero Apache will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 50-48 non-league loss to Riverside (El Paso, TX).
