Illinois High School Basketball - West Aurora can't hold off Aurora East
January 7, 2023: Aurora, IL 60506 The West Aurora Blackhawks basketball team (Aurora, IL), was nudged 82-80 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL)
The Tomcats now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fenton for a Upstate Eight battle on Tuesday, January 10. Aurora East will battle a Bison team coming off a 49-17 league win over West Chicago (West Chicago, IL). The Bison record now stands at 13-4.
The Blackhawks (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL). The Bengals come into the SouthWest Prairie battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Plainfield East was nudged by Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL), 49-37, in a league battle.
