New York High School Basketball - Xaverian fells Cardinal Hayes
January 7, 2023: Bronx, NY 10451 Xaverian Clippers (Brooklyn, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY), 67-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Xaverian upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Clippers travel to Christ the King (Middle Village, NY) to play the Royals in a Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens bout on Sunday, January 8. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Christ the King won 66-57 in their recent league bout against Archbishop Molloy (Queens, NY)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Imhotep Charter Panthers (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 15. Cardinal Hayes will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 68-50 league win over West Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA).
