In Saturday's non-league match, the host Cozad Haymakers basketball team scored a tight 61-54 triumph over the St. Patrick's Irish.

In their next game, the Haymakers meet the Ord Chanticleers (Ord, NE) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 10. Cozad will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Chanticleers enter the match with a 2-7 record after their 34-24 non-league win over Gibbon (Gibbon, NE).
