Virginia High School Basketball - West Potomac edges James Madison
January 7, 2023: Alexandria, VA 22307 The West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) basketball nipped the visiting James Madison Warhawks (Vienna, VA), 67-61 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wolverines (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Titans go into the District 4 test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Alexandria City got by Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, DC), 49-40, in a non-league test.
The Warhawks now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chantilly for a District 1 test on Tuesday, January 10. James Madison will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 68-49 non-league loss to McLean (McLean, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 5-6.
