Virginia High School Basketball - James Madison fells West Springfield
December 9, 2022: Springfield, VA 22152 James Madison Warhawks (Vienna, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 68-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, James Madison upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Warhawks host Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Bishop O'Connell won 56-54 in their recent league challenge against St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) in a District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. West Springfield will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 51-37 non-league loss to McLean (McLean, VA).
