Illinois High School Basketball - Lakes overwhelms North Chicago
January 7, 2023: North Chicago, IL 60064 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) and the host North Chicago Warhawks (North Chicago, IL), saw Lakes's basketball squad wallop North Chicago by a tally of 73-28.
With the victory, Lakes improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL) to play the Rams in a Northern Lake County challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Grayslake Central won 60-31 in their recent league challenge against Round Lake (Round Lake, IL)
Next up, the Warhawks play the Wauconda Bulldogs (Wauconda, IL) in a Northern Lake County challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. North Chicago will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 57-45 non-league loss to Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL).
