January 7, 2023: College Park, GA 30349 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA) and the visiting Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA), saw Banneker's basketball squad overcome Lithia Springs by a tally of 61-53.
With the victory, Banneker improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Locust Grove won 60-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Creekside Christian Academy (McDonough, GA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Chapel Hill Panthers (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Lithia Springs will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 53-49 league loss to Mays (Atlanta, GA).
