Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT), 62-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vergennes upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Commodores host Missisquoi Valley (Swanton, VT) to play the Thunderbirds in a Lake bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Missisquoi Valley won 52-40 in their recent league bout against Middlebury (Middlebury, VT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Enosburg Falls Hornets (Enosburg Falls, VT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. North Country Union will attempt to upgrade on its 11-1 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 51-48 non-league loss to Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT).
