In Tuesday's league test, the Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers (Augusta, GA) basketball squad defeated the host Monsignor Donovan Catholic Rams (Athens, GA), by a final score of 63-55.

Next, the Cavaliers clash with the Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 11. Augusta Prep Day will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Gators come into the test with a 11-3 record after their 81-67 league loss to Brentwood (Sandersville, GA).

The Rams (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA). The Buccaneers come into the GIAA AA Region 4 test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Briarwood Academy overcame Westminster Christian Academy (Watkinsville, GA), 67-61, in a league test.
