Austin Classical Mustangs (Austin, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting River City Believers Academy Soldiers (San Antonio, TX), 49-40 in a league match.

With the victory, Austin Classical upgrades its record to 7-9 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Hill Country Christian (San Marcos, TX) to face the Rams in a TAPPS 1A District 6 match on Friday, January 10. The Rams enter the match with a record of 2-5. Hill Country Christian lost 60-46 in their recent league match against First Baptist Academy (Universal City, TX)

The Soldiers now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winston for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9.
