The Avalon Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host Covington Owls to 37 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now possess a 11-4 record. They play next when they host Bynum for a 1A Region III District 23 game on Friday, January 10. Avalon will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 70-23 league win over Morgan (Morgan, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-2.
