Alabama High School Basketball - Thomasville holds off Blacksher
January 7, 2025: Uriah, AL 36480 The Thomasville Tigers basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Blacksher Bulldogs to 47 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now have a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Wilcox Central for a 3A Area 4 game on Thursday, January 9. Thomasville will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 72-68 non-league loss to Hatch (Uniontown, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 13-7.
With the loss, Blacksher falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Highland Home (Highland Home, AL) to confront the Flying Squadron in a 2A Area 5 game on Thursday, January 9. The Flying Squadron go into the game with a record of 2-6. Highland Home won 75-54 in their recent league game against Central (Hayneville, AL)
