Liberty Magnet Patriots (Baton Rouge, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Catholic - N.I. Panthers (New Iberia, LA), 60-57 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Liberty Magnet advances its record to 14-2 on the year. The Patriots host Peabody (Alexandria, LA) to face the Warhorses in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Warhorses enter the match with a record of 19-3.

The Panthers now own a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jeanerette for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Catholic - N.I. will face a Tigers squad coming off a 58-47 non-league loss to Morgan City (Morgan City, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-9.
