In Tuesday's non-league test, the Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) basketball squad defeated the visiting Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN), by a final score of 63-43.

Next, the Governors clash with the East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN) in a Great Lakes test, on Wednesday, January 15. Hammond Morton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.

The Indians (2-7) will now prepare for their test against La Porte (La Porte, IN). The Slicers come into the Duneland test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, La Porte overcame Elkhart (Elkhart, IN), 65-47, in a non-league test.
