Indiana High School Basketball - Lake Central bests Merrillville

February 6, 2025: St. John, IN 46373

The Lake Central Indians basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting Merrillville Pirates to 58 in the Indians league triumph on Thursday.

The Indians now possess a 6-10 record. They play next when they host East Chicago Central for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. Lake Central will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 60-57 league loss to Gary West Side (Gary, IN). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, Merrillville falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Pirates host La Porte (La Porte, IN) to confront the Slicers in a Duneland game on Friday, February 14. The Slicers go into the game with a record of 13-7. La Porte won 70-51 in their recent non-league game against Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN)
