Indiana High School Basketball - La Porte holds off Merrillville

The La Porte Slicers basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Merrillville Pirates to 55 in the Slicers league triumph on Friday.

The Slicers now have a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Portage for a Duneland game on Friday, February 21. La Porte will confront a Indians team coming off a 44-42 league loss to Chesterton (Chesterton, IN). The Indians record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Merrillville falls to 4-16 on the campaign. The Pirates host Culver Academies (Culver, IN) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 10-8. Culver Academies lost 47-43 in their recent non-league game against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN)
