The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Riverside Panthers (Decaturville, TN) and the host Hughes Lions (Clifton, TN), observed Riverside's basketball team edge Hughes by a margin of 62-56.

The Panthers (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Chester County (Henderson, TN). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-10 record.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Wayne County Wildcats (Waynesboro, TN) in a 1A District 11 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Hughes will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record.
