Oregon High School Basketball - La Grande bested by Riverside
January 7, 2025: La Grande, OR 97850 Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host La Grande Tigers (La Grande, OR), 65-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Riverside advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Pirates travel to Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon match on Saturday, January 11. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 10-4. Nyssa won 44-42 in their recent non-league match against Willamette Valley Christian (Brooks, OR)
The Tigers now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bend for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. La Grande will face a Lava Bears squad coming off a 67-43 non-league win over Mazama (Klamath Falls, OR). The Lava Bears record now stands at 6-4.
