Georgia High School Basketball - Ware County knocks off New Hampstead
January 7, 2025: Waycross, GA 31503 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ware County Gators (Waycross, GA) and the visiting New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA), observed Ware County's basketball team overcome New Hampstead by a margin of 86-75.
The Gators (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Perry (Perry, GA). The Panthers come into the AAAA Region 1 challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Perry dropped by Benedictine (Savannah, GA), 64-29, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Phoenix battle the St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. New Hampstead will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 54-43 non-league win over Hiram (Hiram, GA).
