Maine High School Basketball - Winthrop triumphant over Boothbay
January 7, 2025: Winthrop, ME 04364 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) and the visiting Boothbay Seahawks (Boothbay Harbor, ME), observed Winthrop's basketball team overwhelm Boothbay by a score of 67-19.
The Ramblers (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Abram (Strong, ME). The Roadrunners come into the C South challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Mount Abram trounced Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME), 31-26, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Seahawks encounter the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) in a C South challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Boothbay will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 39-28 non-league loss to Maranacook (Readfield, ME).
