The Choctaw County Tigers basketball squad (Butler, AL), was crushed 52-28 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Marengo Panthers (Dixons Mills, AL)

With the victory, Marengo advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Shields (Beatrice, AL) to meet the Panthers in a 1A Area 4 battle on Friday, January 10. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 6-2. Shields won 55-51 in their recent non-league battle against Wilcox Central (Camden, AL)

The Tigers now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University Charter for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. Choctaw County will meet a Trail Blazers squad coming off a 39-28 league loss to Johnson (Thomaston, AL). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 3-11.
