North Carolina High School Basketball - Weddington victorious over East Mecklenburg

January 7, 2025: Matthews, NC 28104

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Weddington Warriors basketball team scored a good 56-41 triumph over the East Mecklenburg Eagles.

The Warriors (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates go into the 4A Southern Carolina contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Porter Ridge topped Monroe (Monroe, NC), 81-68, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern contest, on Thursday, January 9. East Mecklenburg will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 0-13 record after their 47-25 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC).
