North Carolina High School Basketball - East Mecklenburg routs Independence

January 9, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28227

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team scored a big 66-30 triumph over the Independence Patriots.

The Eagles (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars go into the 4A Southwestern contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Charlotte Catholic was trounced by Butler (Matthews, NC), 50-45, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a 4A Southwestern contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Independence will attempt to better on its 0-15 season record. The Ravens go into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 46-38 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC).
