January 7, 2025: Sleepy Eye, MN 56085 In Tuesday's league contest, the host Sleepy Eye Indians basketball team scored a big 81-42 triumph over the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds.
The Indians (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (Springfield, MN). The Tigers go into the A Section 2 contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Springfield smashed Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN), 65-38, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) in a A Section 2 contest, on Thursday, January 9. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Greyhounds go into the contest with a 1-10 record after their 44-42 league loss to Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN).
