Minnesota High School Basketball - Moorhead knocks off Sheyenne
January 7, 2025: Moorhead, MN 56560 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN) and the visiting Sheyenne Mustangs (West Fargo, ND), observed Moorhead's basketball team beat Sheyenne by a tally of 69-52.
The Spuds now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Bemidji for a AAAA Section 8 bout on Thursday, January 9. Moorhead will play a Lumberjacks team coming off a 52-32 non-league win over Esko (Esko, MN). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Sheyenne falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Red River (Grand Forks, ND) to play the Roughriders in a AA East bout on Friday, January 10. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Red River won 58-56 in their recent league bout against Fargo North (Fargo, ND)
