January 7, 2025: Riceville, IA 50466 Riceville Wildcats (Riceville, IA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 50-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Riceville advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 6-2.
The Huskies now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Springs for a Corn Bowl match on Thursday, January 9. Nashua-Plainfield will face a Panthers squad coming off a 52-30 non-league loss to Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-4.
