January 9, 2025: Manly, IA 50456 Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 36-23 in a league match.
With the victory, Central Springs upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Panthers host St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA) to face the Saints in a Corn Bowl match on Tuesday, January 14. The Saints enter the match with a record of 7-3. St. Ansgar lost 50-47 in their recent non-league match against Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA)
The Huskies now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Fork for a Corn Bowl match on Friday, January 10. Nashua-Plainfield will face a Warhawks squad coming off a 52-23 league win over North Butler (Greene, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 8-2.
