January 7, 2025: Newell, SD 57760 The Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Oelrichs Tigers (Oelrichs, SD), 63-27 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Irrigators now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Tiospaye Topa for a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. Newell will play a Thunderhawks team coming off a 58-43 league win over Sully Buttes (Onida, SD). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 7-1.
With the loss, Oelrichs falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD) to play the Golddiggers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. The Golddiggers go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Lead-Deadwood lost 66-14 in their recent non-league bout against Kadoka (Kadoka, SD)
