Mississippi High School Soccer - Petal nudges Brandon
January 7, 2025: Brandon, MS 39042 The Petal Panthers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Brandon Bulldogs to 1 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now hold a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pearl for a 7A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 10. Petal will play a Pirates squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 7-7.
With the loss, Brandon moves to 9-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Meridian (Meridian, MS) to play the Wildcats in a 7A Region 3 bout on Thursday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Meridian lost 12-0 in their recent league bout against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS)
