The Sonora Wildcats basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Escalon Cougars to 41 in the Wildcats league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now have a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Orestimba for a Trans Valley League game on Friday, January 9. Sonora will confront a Warriors team coming off a 67-26 non-league loss to Calaveras (San Andreas, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-10.
