Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ), 50-24 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Chaparral advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Firebirds host Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ) to face the Knights in a 5A East Sky match on Thursday, January 8. The Knights go into the contest with a record of 9-6. Arizona College Prep lost 42-31 in their recent league contest against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)

In their next game, the Coyotes confront the Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 13. Centennial will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record.
