Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Calumet New Tech Warriors (Gary, IN) and the visiting River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN), saw Calumet New Tech's basketball squad hold off River Forest by a tally of 42-35.

With the victory, Calumet New Tech improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN) to play the Fighting Eagles in a Greater South Shore challenge on Friday, January 14. The Fighting Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-0. Lake Station Edison won 94-32 in their recent league challenge against Whiting (Whiting, IN)

Next up, the Ingots play the Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. River Forest will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record.
